Approx Age: 4 years
Mackenzie is a beautiful, plush 14 lb. Himalayan mix. She has had a rather bumpy ride in her first 4 years of life and would very much appreciate a permanent home.
Originally found as an abandoned newborn kitten, Mackenzie was bottle fed by a cat rescuer who eventually adopted her out to a neighbor. The neighbor passed Mackenzie on to a friend when she was not welcomed by a dog. For a couple years Mackenzie became used to life as an indoor cat with her new owner. Then he up and died. There were no relatives to care for Mackenzie, so a police officer asked neighbors to take her in. They were happy to help, but unfortunately their own cat won’t tolerate Mackenzie being in the house. Mackenzie is living in their backyard while they try to find her a loving home.
Mackenzie is a rather shy cat, skittish at loud noises, but very mellow, sweet and loving. She likes being petted and scratched. A gentle cat, she even allows you to give her a bath. She is okay with other tolerant cats and has been fine with a small dog.
Mackenzie is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and in good health. She is probably best suited to a quiet, adult home.
